Abstract

 Ever since The Empire Writes Back undermines the “world literature in English,” the notion of “postcolonial literature” is also significantly transformed. As globalization holds sway, the prefix post- may imply “after the imperial period”. Yet, it may also imply “uncanny postmodern mentality,” or “the continuation of neo-capitalist cultural imperialism”. In other words, colonial realities are still haunting some marginalized ethnicities while new issues further complicate the already tampered supply chains, skewed political and financial power relationships……
